That’s a WRAP!

In the middle of Highlands, on a quiet tree-lined street, our beautiful school sits. The school is now silent: the hundreds of voices that filled the gymnasium and the halls today have all gone home.  If the school could talk, it would share tales of laughter, delicious food, gracious chefs, dedicated staff, incredible volunteers, and a community brought together for the faces that will one day become the next generation.

There are many people we want to thank – and we will (over and over) but today, we are going to cut straight to the ‘news’.

Today, the 8th Annual Culinary Cook Off raised over $16,000 for OUR students.

We want to extend our congratulations to Chef Lindsay Porter from London Local for People’s Choice award, Chef Vikram Redgaonkar from Highlands Golf Club for Kids’ Choice, and SC Damn Good Food for Most Creative and Judges’ Choice.

Thanks to all our competitors – it was a very stiff competition today!

Calling: All Social Media Gurus!

It's that time of year again! The Mount Royal 8th Annual Culinary Arts Cook-Off is less than one month away! Although our planning is well underway, we could still use some extra hands in getting our biggest (and only) yearly fundraising initiative promoted on social media. Last year this event brought in over $14,000.00 for our kids--money that is used to provide students with a number of amazing opportunities they might not otherwise get!

Tag, Retweet & Repost!

This will help us widen our social media presence and spread the word about our event but--most importantly--it will get people through the door.
